Started Tretinoin 0.1%, never heard of a blender - questions

Postby selection1127 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:03 am

Hi,
I am using Obagi Tretinoin 0.1% but I've never heard of a blender before. I am using to remove sun spots and even out the skin tone, not so much for fine lines at this point.

Questions:
Will the Tretinoin 0.1% remove sun spots or do I need to be doing something more with it?
How quickly does your face start to peel if this is an issue, I have used 4 times and no peeling yet? I do not mix it, I use it straight.
Can I use Alpha Hydrox 7% while using Tretinoin 0.1% or is that a no no?
Is it okay to use Tretinoin 0.1% on arms and legs as well?
Is it true that it thins your skin over time?
Is there a timeframe for using this product or do you use it forever?

Blender plus retin-a makes the product penetrate deeper, and adds 4% HQ to the mix, for even better, faster results.

It can take up to a week for your skin to start peeling, but not everyone does -- it's still working.

You can use your 7% AHA in the morning only - be warned, you might peel more, and definitely only use if your skin is already used to that high %. over time this is NOT great for the skin. Use as little as possible to get the desired result.

You can use on arms and legs, yes.

It should not thin the skin over time, actually it should thicken it.

Use for 18 weeks daily, then cut back to 2-3 times per week for life. :)
I no longer post regularly on MMH, but i'm delighted to help those with skin care questions. My email is the best way to contact me: admin@vmdskincare.com. Wishing you happy, healthy, and flawless skin ;)!
