Billed for complimentary consultation!!!

Postby tnds » Sun Dec 26, 2010 3:12 am

I consulted with a plastic surgeon two months ago for what I was told was a complimentary consultation. I did not use this doctor for my surgery and now I am being contacted by a collection agency to pay $200+ for the consultation. The consultation was clearly advertised as complimentary and I was never during my visit told that I would be charged for anything or that the consultation was free contingent on me getting my surgery there. Have any of you had to deal with anything like this? Any advice?

Have you thought about contacting the attorney general? Believe me they are alot of help.

Yeah, doesn't sound legal to me! Especially if they're contacting you well after the consultation occurred because you decided not to book with them. If they threaten you i'd consult some legal action.
