the only one I didn't like was Neutrogena (I think) ...came out recently in a 'dispenser brush'....it was like dirt on your face. Bare Minerals, Jane Iredale, are good. Ulta just came out with a line as well...will probably be a lot less expensive than the 'name' brands...can't wait to try it!

Just got a Sephora catalogue in the mail today...they are showing a bare escentuals product called : Rare Minerals Skin Renewal Treatment-Night...it looks like regular Bare Minerals (powder), comes in 4 different colors...wonder how or if it works?!? It says it is made from 72 organic minerals and increases cell turnover and minimizes wrinkles...Why would you care what color it is if you are going to sleep in it? Anyone else see it? Thoughts?

I heard about that product-

I take off all make when I get home, and go very light on the weekends-
I could see using it at home so I look half way decent for DH - when I was younger I would have bought something like that-

I've tried several of the mineral make up brands- (more stuff in the drawers) . The one I like is Jane Aredale. I love the mineral veil- you can get them on ebay for a real good price - beauty_withinn ebay member sells the bases for like $27.00 and you can get samples for 6.95 with free shipping.

has anyone tried sheer miracle. Its supposed to be just as good as the other but at a much cheaper price. I ordered a sample of the foundation and a blush. The foundation was way to light in color so it was hard for me to judge if I would like it or not. My big concern is some mineral makeups seem to settle in wrinkles and make them look horrible. I have already tried the bare essentials and wanted to try others.

I know, I had my doubts about mineral makeup- and I got suckered into spending a lot of $ on the stuff at my ps'es office.

However, I have found the Jane Iredale the best of the best.

There is a good selection and reasonable prices for it here at makemeheal.

Mineral makeup

Postby Butterflylover777 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 12:02 pm

I have tried several brands of mineral makeup--Jane Iredale, Julie Hewitt, Mineral Secrets, Glominerals, Bare Minerals, Pur Minerals, Physicians Formula Mineral Wear, and Sheer Cover. My whole problem is finding a foundation that is light enough for me, I'm very fair. All the above mentioned covered well, but were not light enough for me. One-I think it was the Pur Minerals- had a very strange odor. Anyway, I finally found Aromaleigh.com, whose minerals are light enough for me. I really like the foundation and she has eyeshadows, blushes, eye pencils, etc. (I'm not affiliated, just a happy customer!) If you haven't tried any minerals yet, please do. It is so much easier than using liquid foundation. You should be able to purchase samples of most of these. :)

Totally a Jane Iredale junkie. The makeup is great quality and is really good for the skin :) They have a wide variety of products too!
