With all the fires burning in CA, can our TT sisters check in here to make sure everyone is o.k. I know smoke has been heavy in LA city area and we haven't heard from ROBI???

I know Rose, UP2stuff had the fire close to her backyard and was prepared to leave but we need a update from her.

Prayers and good thoughts coming to everyone who is involved.

hugs,

We're in the Palm Springs area, no fires here though we did get some bad air from the fires in Hemet/Valle Vista.

Dh's elderly mother is in Pasadena & evacuated but she has returned home now.

From Hemet here, at one point it was raining ashes and the smell was really strong. Made my eyes watery. All is well and seems under control.

Still here, still OK. Fire crews continuing to cut firebreaks in the canyon all around our houses but fire seems to be farther away. I think they have backed it off further into the forest and there is less smoke today. I am assuming we are in better shape than we were in but they are continuing their prevention efforts just in case. They have not come back to run their fire hoses down the back yard so I am thinking that must be a good sign too. The only positive in all this is that there are firemen everywhere in my neighborhood and they are all quite good looking. My 23 year old daughter thinks she should start taking long walks, maybe I should go with her. I could use a little diversion!

LOL yeah, that's like living on a military base. They are all fit and good looking.

I miss those days. ;) Groups of 20-30 cute guys jogging by the house...

I'm glad all is going well and you are most likely out of danger, and glad they are still around to catch anything if danger strikes again.

Maybe it is time to go out and wash the car? I mean, all the soot and all...

Or yard work! :) Who cares if there's smoke in the air, a little bit of yard work will do ya good.

What is it about firemen? Is it a requirement they be gorgeous? We have a fireman and his wife/gf (very young couple) who life across the street, and they have a lot of parties (of firemen and their wives/gf's). My boys are all looking out the windows at the cute girlfriends of the guys...and I'm fighting for window space for the guys!

My DH is the same way. He shakes his head. My son says "Dad's RIGHT here and you are looking at guys?"

Well, better than sneaking isn't it? ;) All in good fun.

Yes, all in good fun. DH is always quick to remind me that (now this is according to him) firemen play around a lot. No offense to any firemen's wives here but I think DH makes this up to be sure we don't find them any more appealing than we already do.

UP2stuff, glad things are getting better if the fire hoses aren't in your backyard.

I would checkout the hunks, I'm sure you will get a look at once or twice with your flat tummy and beautiful shape!!!!

kisses
