Did you get your surgery to be more competitive at work?

Did you get cosmetic surgery because you felt it will make you more competitive in the workplace? While this does not have to be the only reason, let us know if this was a factor in your decision to have surgery.
All the best,

Yep. Having experience and a background in multiple areas is good, but looking like you've had all the experience isn't.

It just helps with that professional image not to have the thin skin, wrinkles, and turkey-waddle neck.

The BA, however, was totally for me.

I would say that I did get sx to be more competitive and also for myself. I'm in sales and I am constantly in competition with younger girls (in their 20s). I just turned 41 and although my clients love me (enough to use my stuff to get me great bonuses), now they will know that I'm smart and sexy.

If I were a stripper, I would say "yes" since I got new breasts... lol. But not as a kennel technician. :D

I would say yes it was a consideration. I have been out since my child was born, thinking I would be able to pick up where I left off. Of course the economy changed that prospect so figuring how I could make the most of this time away from work I chose to have my surgery now and look for a job in the coming months. I have NO doubt that my surgery will help me whether it is my own internal confidence or simply that I look a little younger than my birth certificate suggests....either way it was a contributing factor in my decision making process. Thanks for asking!

I think looks always have some kind of influence in the workplace. especially in business/ customer service. I got a job title, just on the basis of being cute. the district manager had to approve me to receive the title. all she did was walk up to me and say "yeah, shes cute" and walked away.

but it is by far not anywhere near the top of my list for getting my rhinoplasty done
