I want these out and gone forever. On the shoulder one which is over a decade old, I've had the freezing treatment and some sort of steroid injection. I did the Scar Leaves and Mederma. Scar Leaves wouldn't stay put on my navel one at all regardless of how I tried to manipulate it.

I've read that they can be excised and then treated with something else so they don't come back. I haven't found a doctor anywhere near by who will do this. I've been looking at dermatologists. Should I look at plastic surgeons instead? I just want these forever gone. They are so unsightly.

I don't know where you live but there is a good dr in Manhattan that does scar revision. His website is www.facemakernyc.com if you would like to take a look. I was in a house fire 27 years ago and had bad scars on my neck. It was major reconstruction surgery for me but all the scars on my neck are gone, I have nice smooth skin where the ugly scars were.
