Cancelling revision rhinoplasty

Cancelling revision rhinoplasty

Postby Hope_G » Thu May 24, 2018 10:40 pm

Has anyone ever cancelled a surgery? I literally went to my surgery on the day and said to the doctor that I cannot do this and I wish to cancel. He was very caring and never tried to change my mind. He said it's my choice.

I'm sabotaging myself I think. Having a revision rhinoplasty is so difficult for me. On my primary I had zero stress... nothing and because I was never happy with the result now I cannot trust anyone now because I have read so many things and because I know that things can go wrong. I just had my family in my mind who were telling me not to do this. I should have consulted a psychologist because I was very anxious the whole month before my surgery. I was even feeling dizzy occasionally and lost my focus at work. I even lost weight.

I was feeling guilty for wanting to do this surgery because other people have more serious problems in life than this.

I was also thinking what my colleagues will say if they notice the surgery.

I think I have issues....

Has anyone else been through the same thing?

Thank GOD for your revision surgeon every day!!!!! He did the right thing and no one should go into surgery unprepared and anxious and unsure.
Be kind to yourself. You didn't sabotage yourself, your doctor saved you from a surgery you were not prepared for.
God bless him! and best of luck as you move forward and determine your next steps.
