I don't know what to think of my nose. Im not sure if it is because I look like a totally different person and can't get used to it. Or if it just looks bad. I think it's still pretty swollen. I was just wondering if someone was in the same boat and ended up liking it after the swelling went down. I am about 4 months post revision and thinking it might not look right.
It seems too short for my face. Yes the nose is alright by itself, but for my face I dont know. I think the supratip area is still swollen.. Ill have to post another picture
I am sorry to know your situation. Your nose looks all fine to me, specially comparing to how it looked like previous to your revision. But then, I have seen your nose only, not the rest of your features. I understand if it doesnt look right with the rest of your face. I think it looked a lot better after dr Guyuron took away the roundness of your tip. Dont you think it helped?
Even my tip is too short for my face, but I think it would look good just getting ride of the roundness. I am sure if I want longer nose, septal cartilage only would not be sufficient (and my septal cartilage ise never used). And I really dont want to use, neither ear or rib this time. My ear is till hurting, believe me, i feel the pain everyday and its been two years since my surgery!! anybody know if this is normal?
Otherwise, I think you should contact dr Guyuron and let him know how you feel. If you havnt done this yet?? If yes, what did he say? btw, are you happy with the follow up from dr G and co?

And yes, I am going to him two weeks. Any tips?
Wish you all the best, Olivia
Yes I think does look much much better than the primary rhinoplasty. He did a wonderful job at straightening it and now I can breathe too! I am not saying he did a bad job at all.. I think it's just me and swelling.. but I really don't want it to get much smaller. It just looks weird like my nostrils show .. it kind of looks like the letter m... I don't know how to explain it. I guess my big tip before getting surgery covered up my nostrils, but now that I see them it's kinda odd looking to me. I did tell him about it and he said it was way too early to see if it is bad or not. He said my nostrils looked quite even. I think I examine it too much. I just hope no one can notice. My mom did when I mentioned it too her though.
Mary, im shocked you have such concerns, your nostrils looked perfectly lowered on the last pics you posted and your nose looked generally more refined and less bulbous and this was only a couple of months after your op. Did your nose swell up since then?
Its true that even with a good result our brains can go into confusion at first because of the change. After my revision i thought the changes in my face were much more dramatic than they actually are, i even saw it worse in pictures too, but now i look back at them and see it wasnt that bad and i still looked like myself, just with a bit of a different nose. I can see myself now, even though theres been relatively little change physically since then.
Here is my updated album.. can anyone see how the graft sticks out on the left of my bridge on my most recent one.. I think it was a spreader graft.. Do you think it will go down? It's been 4 months
I see a a bulge on the left. It looks to me like there was a bigger bulge in the same spot in your before pictures. Do you think there's a new graft there? It looks like the cartilage has a convex shape there, instead of laying flat or curving in.
I guess you also feel like it's too short? I think the amount of nostril show looks pretty nice. It's probably hard to judge a nose after a revision with the swelling and adjusting your expectations to the outcome, but based on your pictures so far, the improvement is really significant The right length depends on how it fits with the rest of your face. If you want to share pictures that show more of your face, maybe you could share with some of us on PM.
Im not completely sure what youre refering to. Do you mean the left as we look at it or your left? could you circle it in the pic?
I agree that its hard to judge if a nose suits a face without seeing the rest of the face. Seeing it in isolation it looks like a more refined and balanced version of your old nose.
Just wanted to drop in and say that I personally think your nose looks great. Echoing what others have said - it's not a super huge change, but it's YOUR nose with the flaws removed. Which IMO is what great plastic surgery is about - you still want to look like yourself when it's all said and done! I'll be honest - I don't see a bulge, I think your nostrils look really good, and it doesn't really seem like your nose is shorter than your original one. There's a small amount of supratip swelling that I do see. I remember after my revision, my nose did drop a small amount (< 1 mm) from 3 months out to where it is now - so minor changes can happen months out from surgery.
It certainly may look a little off in comparison to the rest of your face (which we can't comment on) - but I think your nose is really cute, and I betcha it looks really cute on you too!! It's just really hard and scary to adjust to something new - even if it's great - so hang in there! In the event that it's not all you wanted a bit down the road, it seems that Dr. Guyuron is someone who really stands by his patients and will work to get them the result they want. Again, I personally think it looks great as it is - but I'm sure he can help you further if need be months down the line. Until then, I really hope you go out and enjoy your new nose!
Thanks for keeping us updated. You really do look beautiful!!
