My nose will not stop running. It's clear mucus, not thick, very watery. Sorry TMI. Anyway, I cannot go anywhere without tissues and every second I have to dab at my nose because it's dripping. I feel like I have a bad head cold where I can't blow my nose and I just let mucus build and drain LOL! I know it's not a real cold as I feel absolutely healthy.
Is this normal 13 days P0?? It's been like this all week now and it's getting to be VERY annoying. I'm wondering if the saline spray is causing it?
Anyone experience this after rhinoplasty? Maybe because I also had a septoplasty?
8 days post op with the same problem. Havent been using saline spray just cotton buds aka q tips to blot excess mucus. I still dont like to touch the outside of my nose too much, I have an image of it just collapsing like a deck of cards with any kind of touching
I recommend you eliminate all dairy products including cheese, milk, and icecream, sour cream, and yogurt from your diet. Dairy products are very mucous promoting and can make you produce these problems you are having. I also recommend you eliminate wheat and gluten for awhile and, in fact, eat a lot of organic salads as they tend to reduce mucous.
I'm almost 5 months and my nose still runs on a daily basis. Sorry, I know it isn't what you want to hear I don't think that 5 months is the norm for most people so your dripping will most likely stop soon. It usually drips when it is cold or if I eat something spicy. Sometimes my nasal membranes feel really cold and wet but when I dab my nose it's perfectly dry. I just have my finger crossed that it will soon stop.

Noses running in the cold air and from spicy foods is perfectly normal nose behavior so that probably won't stop. If your nose is running constantly for no good reason, then I would say it's the nose healing. After all, a running nose is its way of getting rid of foreign matter and we've had stitches, crusty blood, etc. in there for weeks. Give it a chance to settle down, completely heal inside and get used to the new airflow.
Mine ran all the time at first. Then it slowed down to when I exercised or ate. Now I had my revision and bam! running all over again...Sorry, but expect it to last awhile and always have tissues handy
