People who get narrow nostrils ,can this be fixed?

People who get narrow nostrils ,can this be fixed?

Postby CalvesBrah » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:49 am

My surgeon was aggresive. I had a fairly normal nose ,but I eneded up with a small nose that I hate. It is not noticeably small or unnatural ,but I really hate it. I see men all around with strong noses and this makes me hate my feminine nose and affect my self esteem.

I liked my wide alar base before surgery ,can I get that back ? I see people in revision pics that couldn't fix tight nostrils ,while others fixed it.

Anyone had a successful revision with narrow alar base?

a picture would help, I assume anything can be modified. the overall result is questionable.

*Bump*. I would like to know the same. My surgeon unfortunately made me look drastically different--and I have been depressed since then. I wonder if this procedure is possible.

me too! Help!
He butchered me. narrowed my tip, lifted my nostrils, rotated my nose, sutured the hell out of my tip - my nose now just stops - no tip, cut of like 30% of my nose and what makes me me.
forget about the scooped small narrow bridge
he did everything opposite of what i said he could do.
he swears I would love it in 6months, its been 4 hate it
i used to be very pretty. I have small narrow short nose..am miserable.
if anyone has any experience with rebuild please let me know, to get length and tip.

Has anyone found a doctor who can widen the nostrils after they've been reduced? I read somewhere that it could be possible to make incisions inside the nostrils and add ear cartilage, but could only make it 3mm wider. If this is possible, would 3mm make that much of a difference? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello all you alar base reduction sufferers like me. Sorry for our misfortunes. Is there anyone out there who took the chance and had their scars opened back up, in order to stitch a wedge of cartilage in there, in order to make the nostrils wider? I've read that it can be done, but who has done it? I would really like to see pictures or at least a happy story from a patient. I have a feeling that once people are happy, they don't come back to this site to help others. It's understandable that they just want to forget about the nightmare that they went through, and move on with their life. Or if you had it done and it was a disaster, I'd like to hear about that as well. I'm just trying to figure out where to go from here. Despite all I've read about the risks involved in reversing an alar base reduction, I would really like my alar base back. The only question I have is, would it be obviously noticeable to other people? Maybe makeup could hide any imperfections? I don't think right now that most people see my nose as odd, but to me it's smaller. I know I'd be happier if it was slightly wider/bigger. I can't help to notice my siblings noses, and mine looks different. I would really like my nose to resemble my family nose a little more. Interested to hear from my alar base sufferers. Thanks.
