Rhinoplasty tip swelling question

Rhinoplasty tip swelling question

Postby saum1 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 9:03 pm

I have a question about rhinoplasty tip swelling.

I have a bulbous tip I would like reduced. However, we all know that the tip is the part that swells up the most and stays swollen the longest during recovery. I want to get a rhinoplasty but don't want to have a bigger nose for months afterward...seems to defeat the purpose.

So let's say my tip gets reduced by 25%. Will the swelling more than offset it? Will the nose look bigger for several months than it did BEFORE the surgery?

Can anyone who has had TIP REDUCTION share your experiences? If you did not have tip reduction, please do not reply. For those that had tip reduction, was your front view smaller 3 weeks post-surgery? Same size as before? Even larger than before? How long did it take for it to become smaller than before surgery?
