What's the deal with Vladimir Grigoryants??

Medical Board of California Public Record

Postby DRACO » Thu Feb 19, 2009 8:58 pm

My friend is wanting to visit Dr. G and asked me to do a back round check. Posts here are encouraging and Dr. G's reply was impressive.

However, I searched California Consumer Affairs Medical Board and found the following:

In the Doctor's defense, these public records show he is quite busy but it would be nice to see what were the cause and results of those actions. If there were civil monitary settlements would cause them to be "private"?
:?:

Newbie's first post, sorry.

Draco, wow. dude! that report is not saying he has those convictions, it shows that they checked for those convictions and none were found.

My Bad, then that means Dr. G = Dr. Good

Postby DRACO » Fri Feb 20, 2009 1:27 pm

. Well I guess this give a clean bill of health for Dr. G.

My appologies for the false alarm, I just check a friend's record, I know he is clean and he had the same public record information..

Thanks Dude for the clarification! I got hit by an idiot stick last night.

I went to a consultation with Dr. G. He has a nice personality and he told me exactly what needed to be done with my nose. I spent about an hour talking to him about what I wanted done and how much it would cost. He showed me different financing options available. The total cost for the operation was 7200, but only 6200 after the student discount that he gave me. I have to save up money now, because I don't qualify for a loan with my job at Sears at the moment. I just have to wait it out for a few months, but it sucks because I want my nose job NOW! Does anyone care to loan me the money?

I would be cautious of surgeons offering discounts. I know you are trying to save money but rhinoplasty is a very complicated procedure and I have heard that its not a good sign when surgeons offer discounts.

...its not a good sign when surgeons offer discounts.

Why?

Dr. Grigoryants did an awesome job for me--my nose looks better than I could have imagined. Should I complain that he didn't charge me $15,000 for it? Besides, let's face it--the economy is not doing so well right now, and, I bet, the number of people considering an elective surgery, such as rhinoplasty, has declined. So it is only natural that doctors might choose to offer discounts. A discount does not necessary imply anything negative.

Note by moderator: April 13, 2014
It was recently found that many multi-id posts arose from Grigoryants office and also the hospital he worked in in promotions of him. This was one of the many screen names linked to Grig's IPs. The contents of the entry was deleted for that reason.

Reason: contents removed due to multi-id use associated with Grigoryants IP. Admin given the screen shot of this post.

Does he offer a "starving artist" discount?

Or how about a "just graduated from college during an economic crisis" discount?

Hi prodigiousflames. I don't actually have any post-op pictures yet. It’s only been 2 weeks since my surgery. And I didn’t want to take any photos when I had black eyes. They’ve gone away since. But I’ve also stopped shaving to see if I could actually grow a beard. The early results aren’t too good. My facial hair is pretty light and coming in too patchy.

I plan to schedule a visit to Dr Grigoryants in late April for post-op pictures. And I can send the pics to you then.

I also took a look at your history of posts on this forum. You’ve definitely done your homework. I’m sure which ever doctor you pick, it will be a wise decision.

Good Luck!
