Hypertrophic Facial Scar Recommendation?

Postby gospursgo » Thu Aug 21, 2014 12:38 pm

I have a hypertrophic scar above my right eyebrow which is very noticeable due to the fact that its right in the front of my face. I got it about 9-10 months ago and the redness has not gone away. What can I do about my scar? I have not seen a dermatologist yet. Been researching online and found many articles and people recommending "Intense Pulsed Light Therapy" for the reduction of redness, what do you recommend? Any help would be great, thanks.

Gospurs, have you tried scar sheets or at least creams yet? I am 4 weeks post op from several facial procedures that have left scars, and I am going to try scar sheets while at home, and scar cream when I have to be out in public. If my scars don't respond to my satisfaction, I think I will try some sort of laser treatment to reduce them. Good luck with yours! :)
