Large Scar on my Face!!

Postby Trinni » Sun Feb 20, 2011 7:34 pm

I have had a laser mole removal for a big mole right next to my mouth.
After the wound healed up, I was left with a pink spot and I was like oh that's normal, I'll wait for it to heal. Around 3 months later, I noticed the scar had become raised and still red.
Friends told me to not worry about it and see it if it heals on it's own... So now I am here 7 months post op with this large red raised bump next to the corners of my mouth.

I have on hand,

*kelo-cote gel
*Scaraway Silicone sheets
*Scaraway Silicone Serum for Scars
*Mederma Cream
*Bio Oil

I've started using the Scaraway serum for 6 days now and have noticed nothing. I've also been using the sheets for 2 days.

I was wondering if these products(especially the sheets) are any effective on such an odd area of the face. My mouth moves when I talk and eat and I think it might interfere with the patches.
Should I continue with my silicone gel during the day and patch during the night routine...or should I go to my dermatologist and get a kenalog shot.( which i am scared, because it might make a hole(?) in my face)

Also about the sheets, after I take them off, my scar looks more red than before I put it on...is that normal? Also...i heard pressure may help flatten it...so does anyone press down on the scar a bit?

I'd suggest you to try inviCible scars. I used it for my acne scars and it showed its effectiveness within a week. Glad to have this product. It’s worth paying for it. It is a hypoallergenic acne scar treatment. Since it does not contain common skin irritants like preservatives and fragrances, it is far less likely to cause a break-out than most other acne scar care products do. So take a chill pill, go ahead and try this product .. It has no side-effects and also, it contains all the minerals and vitamins that are necessary for treating scars. It's amazingly awesome
Check out this link for more details.. Hope this may help you . Good Luck dear !
