Hi Babyboomer,
Dr. Morales (the PS that did my surgery) offers a great post op. Included in the price of the surgery you get 14 post op therapies that include hyperbaric chamber therapy, ultrasound therapy, lymphatic drainage massage and pressure therapy. Also if your surgery requires stictches, you will have to stay 2 weeks in order to remove stitches prior to traveling home. All post op meds are administered during this period as well. I guess it depends on where and who you go to. This is why research is soooo important.

you are so right 'clam',if my memory serves me correctly i believe Lodola in Argentina had a patient die and mutilated several others ,as did Arguillia in CR.

I am one of the butchered victims of Mario Lodolo of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

allow me to paste this first:

I know many very pleased patients of this doctor....You know the old saying..three sides to every story..his..hers and the truth..

that was written by ChrissieK as a response to a wise woman who was questioning her praise of the buthcer of argentina. I am the woman that she has called "liar" on several occasions, she has her own agenda.. and almost ALL on Plastic Surgery Journeys know it and thank G_D don't take her words seriously. I guess that is why Lodolo has started working for Plenitas again,(at least that is what i read on the internet today) because after myself, another woman and my husband were mutilated by him.. . we took our story to CNN and you can read the transcrpits online and well his business tanked. God is good.

now.. according to lovely Chrissie... my story is not true... well all i can say is that a picture is better then a thousand words. I have all of my photos of my mutilated torso and vaginal area on Plastic Surgery Journeys in the gallery and my screename there is Curvesousfem. Also if you get there... take a look at more of his "artistry" on Barbaram also in the gallery. A beautiful woman who went for breast implants, and wound up so infected from the implants he put IN HER that she had to have a double mastectomy!!! Marcelo, my husband.. was 36 at the time of HIS surgery with the creeten, and went for a simple deviated septeum.. but wound up with a brow and forehead lift NOT ASKED FOR and with HUGE herman munster scars on either side of his scalp and several stitches embedded in his skull that infected. I too had many stitches that were NOT removed and became infected, i almost died there... and the ONLY reason i survived was NOT due to Lodolo but due to the fact that the military hospital which my brother in law is affiliated with, saved my life.

people beware... we are never going to let this story die... and if we can all just save ONE life by doing so then i am happy.

P.S. ALL OF US were PROMISED aftercare, being picked up at the airport, and AN ENGLISH SPEAKING NURSE... and NONE OF US saw ANY OF THAT.

I do not personally know of your surgon but if you check out www.plasticsurgeryjourneys.com you will find a ton of information on many many plastic surgeons, some from Dominican Republic, I believe DR has its own forum there.

Look at the gallery photos, hopefully there will be several members that used your surgeon. The HUGEST mistake of my LIFE was only looking at ONE persons photos of the surgeon that I chose and subsequently, he went on to BUTCHER and destroy the lives of three innocent victims, including myself. good morning dawn;

several years ago, when i joined, it was almost instant. I'm not sure if there may be something going on with the site administrator, people have posted that they wrote her and have not heard back, and are worried about her. She is a lovely young woman, a TRUE advocate for the patient, unlike many other boards. After the three of our stories got out, she i HEARD that my surgeon had his lawyers contact her to remove the story but she did not allow it, claimingt that PSJ was FOR the PATIENTS NOT for the SURGEONS. Something we all found very admirable on her part.

I will post a question on there this morning, and see if anyone has any news and if they do I will get back to you here right away. Sorry for the delay, the site is a blessing!

I just found out his full name is Dr. Ruben Dario Carrasco. I found him through globalsurgerycenter.com...I'm also wondering if they are legit. I have already sent them $500.00USD to hold my surgery date, but used paypal just incase they are not.

I would like to go to Argentina for Cosmetic Maxillofacial surgery. Does anyone know any good Surgeons who performs this type of surgery there?

I have also tried to join PSJ's with no responce, I don't have paypal anymore since being charged for items i hadn't purchased.(long story)& I don't like to pay for a membership without seeing whats there first. so I tried the free (basic) membership. Is this why I have not had any reply to joining? I am thinking about traveling outside usa in very near future for full TT, BL w/Aug, and lipo...really would like to get some info/references from this site..

i'm sorry you are experiencing such difficulty joining that site. it is so great, because Lili (owner) allows people to post the good AND THE BAD experiences abroad. Some sites, infact most.. this is the ONLY one that i know of that does allow you to post the bad experiencesl. Lilli says she is an advocate for the patient NOT the surgeons.

Do i have your permission to post on PSJ saying that there is someone having great difficulty joining and see how they respond to me and i will let you know?
