Postby saunders_k » Sun Sep 02, 2012 3:05 am

Hi!
I am looking for a good plastic surgeon. After years of contact wear underneath my eyes is crepey and puffy. I'm not sure if I need a bleph or laser or.......whatever. Any recommendations would be appreciated,Thank you!

Dear S:

Go have a consultation with Tim Martin, MD at 450 Sutter in SF. He's great and I've been looking at the world thru the eye lid job he did for me 14 years ago and it's still holding up and looks fantastic. He's one of those rare surgeons who seems to intuitively know how far to go and when "enough" is enough and avoids the "too tightened too many times" look that so often is seen with lesser skilled docs. Not the least costly guy in town. But the fees are appropriate for what he can offer and the level of skill and care provided by TJM and his entire staff. I recommend him without hesitation based on my experience and that of several friends over the years who've been patients for everything from major facelifts to corrective work to a tiny little lower-lid bleph job on a famous News Anchor who was aging but didn't want an obvious fix just yet. They've all been delighted. No complaints and no problems for any of us over many years! That's saying a LOT for any Plastic Surgeon today!

Here is my review of Dr. Massry. I would travel to Beverly hills if I were you. He is well worth it.

I just went to Dr. Massry for a revision. I think he is fabulous! I had be suffering for 5 years with the results from an oculoplastic doctor on the east coast. Botched fat repositioning, crooked eyes, visible scars. The works. I even gave the original doc a chance to fix the issue...he could not fix it. I was considered a very pretty woman until I went to this guy in NY.

I finally got the courage to go to someone who was an expert, Dr. Massry. I am VERY happy with the results now. My eyes are even, you can barely see the scars and I am just thrilled and relieved. I can not say it enough...GO TO THE EXPERT to begin with. Do not do what I did and be someones guinea pig. He was an oculoplastic guy but had no idea what beauty was and I really do not think he even cared. Dr. Massry was very caring and his assistant Anna showed empathy in a way that really made me feel understood. When I was explaining my issues, I started crying, and so did she. She had to leave the room.

Anyway, Dr. Massry works with victims of accidents etc., and I have heard he is called Dr. Fixit! LOL...I can vouch for that!

Again, if you have problems and need a revision...go to him. Don't mess around. I paid a lot, but it was worth it. If you are considering a bleph, I recommend him. If you can't afford to do it right....don't do it.

Thank you for the recommendations. They both look like amazing surgeons. I was wondering about Dr Marten. He seems to do mostly facelifts. Has anyone used him for under the eye surgeries?
