Cheeckbone Fracture??

Postby CuriousGeorge87 » Thu Feb 02, 2012 3:14 pm

Hi i had an accident about 3 and a half years ago were my cheekbone was fractured i went to a doctor and she didn't see any disfigurement to visible to make it an issue and she didn't want to have to re-break it, but after a few years it has become more visually apparent i think that it has dropped kinda i have been told multiple times that it looks like someone punched me in the eye, before it was only in the morning now it seems to stay all day like a bag under my eye there is a faint pain like a feeling of disfigurement like i always have to squint to make it feel normal i guess what im asking is if i asked for another opinion do you think a doctor would re-break it or is it usually to much of a risk my other doctor suggested a cosmetic injection if i was really worried about it... How much would it cost?

Hi
I have no idea without seeing you. I would have to see and examine you first. The bone may need to be re-broken and reset but there are alternatives such as fat injections or cheek implants or even filler injections. see a few good plastic surgeons and see what they recommend. Cost varies greatly.
