Hi Dr Naderi.I was wondering if u could tell me can u use a moncryl suture 3.0 for the sole purpose of lifting the smas layer to further tighten the jowls .Like a one suture lift where u make incisions only half way up around the ear lobe front and back then insert a moncryl suture 3.0 into the smas layer to try and lift jowls.Wouldnt a disolvable suture used in this way easily break cause your putting stress and tension on the suture .I would really appreciate your advice on this and what do u think of this procedure ?Thanks dr for your time much appreciated .
The fact is that procedures like thread lift and feather lift and ribbon lift and other lifts that simply rely on a suture or suture type device, be it dissolvable or permanent do not offer long lasting results since there is no true dissection plane and no good fibrin glue or scar tissue to hold things up beyond a few months.
