I am a researcher working on a suture coating which will help to prevent scarring in the healed tissue.

I would like to know which type of suture to tailor the coating to. Can you tell me the type of suture most often used in plastic surgery?

There are multiple sutures used by Plastic surgeons. Most common ones are: PDS, Monocryl, Prolene, Nylon, Vicryl, Gut, Chromic and Mersilene.
