Apple cider vinegar & swelling

Apple cider vinegar & swelling

I did it too! But I took Annie's advice and mixed it with water and honey.

I used a mug of boiling water, two teaspoons of ACV, and three teaspoons of honey. It's actually ok to drink, just!

Let's hope it works. I also bought some turmeric today and will be mixing it with my low fat cheese spread which I use instead of margerine on my sandwich for tea tonight.

I also read about ginger being good for swelling so I plan to eat some of this mixed with a little honey later.

Also, I'm waiting for a lady to fone me back about lymphatic massage and plan to get one ASAP.

Am I showing signs of being a little obsessive?!

Haaa! I think at this point, we all are becoming obsessive about SEEING the results we paid and suffered for! TOTALLY NORMAL if you ask me! Last night we went out to dinner and my dh was sitting there eating his brick oven pizza and boneless wings and I was eating my steamed veggies(in a restaurant with a gazillion delicious choices) and he was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? I told him I was TIRED of being THICK from swelling! Then I came home and downed my acv and he was like....omg you're torturing yourself! Lol I kindly explained to him that women do all kinds of brutal things in the name of beauty and he said...well you look great, and I said..really???? I'm currently worse off now than I was before the surgery and I'm going to do whati can to remedy that!! Men don't get it!

Let us know-how it all works for you!

Stick, I don't know how much honey you put in, but if you don't want to put much, but want to taste more, add a bit of Splenda. It makes the honey stand out more and it tastes really good. (especially since sugar adds to swelling, you don't want to use much honey). This is something I always had as a child when we were sick or had sore throats (back then no Splenda, we just loaded up on honey. ;)) It was also a treat my mom made whenever I had friends over to spend the night. Everybody loved it.

I really don't think ACV will do much for swelling though, but if you like it then it certainly has other benefits.
