Exhaustion

Exhaustion

Postby Breathless » Fri Sep 23, 2011 10:15 am

Hi everyone
I had my surgery 22 days ago and the last 2 days I have had overwhelming exhaustion. I feel breathless but not sleepy as such. I felt okay 2 days after surgery then really ill for 2 days. I haven't been right since but nothing like as bad as now.

I've seen my surgeon - initially there was some concern I might have an infection but they have ruled that out now as I don't have a high temperature. I'm in the UK so I also have a general doctor and he thinks I do have an infection and has me on oral antibiotics.

I was wondering anyone else had experienced extreme exhaustion. I feel like I don't know what to do with myself and I can't catch my breath.

Thanks!
Love Kathryn

Hi Kathryn,
I'm only 11 days post op from a LBL. I'm definitely exhausted all the time - just showering wipes me out and I'm generally a very active/fit person. I'm not sure how different I'll feel at day 22 post op but I've read a lot of posts from girls who are further out of their procedures and some remain pretty exhausted for a while. Hope this helps.

Exhaustion is just part of the game! I didn't get my energy back until about 1 month post op and I still don't have quite the stamina I did and I'm 7 weeks out. I don't get exhausted from just tidying up the house like I did at 3 weeks, but come 10pm...I'm pretty worn down feeling!

I don't get shortness of breath but I still get tired very easily. It doesn't take too much to get me tired. I'm not sure of the average time to get ack 100% ur energy level. In fact, I'm exhausted right now.
