How long ago was your surgery? I think it's different for everyone. I am 16 days post op and I am doing so much better than I was. I am almost walking completely straight, except as the day goes on I hunch more. It's more just discomfort most of the time not pain. When I sneeze though? MAJOR pain!! The first time I sneezed my husband said he's never heard that word come out of my mouth! Coughing, sneezing, etc, all still cause actual pain but it subsides fairly quickly. It is a gradual improvement. I really hope you feel better soon.

I felt like at week 3 i was completely pain free as far as my muscle repair. Sneezing hurt until 5 weeks and then after that it didnt hurt n more. Im 3 months out and feel great, except that like 4 or 5 days ago i sneezed and pulled my stomach muscle on my lower right side of my belly. And its been killing me since. Yesterday my stomach got swollen on that area like i have never seen on myself before. I never have swelling on my stomach after surgery until i pulled this muscle smh. But dont worry things will get better so dont feel desperate, just take it one day at a time, breathe and relax.

I am 3 months PO and mine doesn't hurt anymore--of course I haven't tried to lift anything during that time!

I am almost 2 week post op and it still hurts so much!!! My back really hurts and I'm thinking it must be from not using my stomach muscles. Sneezing.....oh God don't even go there, I feel it coming and I start freaking out, I've also said words I haven't ever said. Lots of pain in the muscle right under the breast and just walking is so painful, I feel I need to sit and rest and the only time I feel great is with my legs up and knees bent. I hate the binder but it does make me stand straight and I hate walking all hunched over like an old lady but I can't help it!!! I know it will get better but I just wish it would hurry and heal!! Thanks for your words of advice!!
