How to remove glue from tape around incision.

How to remove glue from tape around incision.

Postby True » Thu Mar 20, 2008 7:25 am

So I am almost scab free, but I still have the stupid glue around various areas of the incisions. I'm scared to scrub it, and I've been picking at it to no avail.

Any ideas? I absolutely cannot be sexy when I have GLUE!!!

Glue from tape right? Not Dermabond?

I'd try rubbing it a bit with vitamin E oil if you have some. It should loosen right up.

How are you? Use baby oil and a rag cloth. Get the cloth really moist with the oil and clean the area in circles, you'll see the glue start to lift and forms little balls. I went thru it, it was a pain. I even got a blister on my back, that's before my nurse friend came armed with baby oil. I hope it works.

Hi there,
I just used body oil and used a moist washcloth to gently remove it. It came off very quickly...

My sister gave me some micropore stuff to stick on with the vitamin E oil! When I took the tape off I had all the residue left aswell so I started using dial soap the liquid stuff every morning in the shower till it rubbed off! That and a wash cloth and the circular motion worked for me!!

Boy, I wish I had thought to ask you ladies! I used alcohol wipes, and it took me weeks to get all the glue residue off! :?
