Steri-strip adhesive residue removal?

Steri-strip adhesive residue removal?

Postby qutecasey » Sat Dec 10, 2005 1:18 pm

Does anyone know what I can use to remove residue left by my steri-strips on my incision? The ps uses some type of adhesive remover, but I can't seem to find a product. Any and all theories appreciated.

I honestly don't think you should put anything on your incision. Just leave it alone. You don't want to do damage to it. Call your ps and ask what to do, but I think it just have to gradually wash off in the shower.

I came here looking for some answers, as i have steri stirps from knee surgery, and am left with lots of residue, and i want to wear a dress today for my anniversary with my hubby of 20 years. I have read someone say baby oil, someone else vitamin E, and someone else mascara removal.. I have none, but i have Bio -oil, the stuff for scars..i figured its oil, probably has vitamin e in it, and guess what!? worked like a charm !!! i just gently massage with a qtip and it comes right off! hope this helps someone else!
