Tummy Tuck with Lipo on Flanks?

Tummy Tuck with Lipo on Flanks?

Postby nmgurl77 » Tue May 17, 2011 11:57 am

Hello everyone. I am VERY new here! This is my first day on and I am very excited to find a group to talk to about my upcoming TT/MR and lipo. My question is how many of you have had a tummy tuck with lipo on the flanks? Is it a big difference to do? My ps recommended it and I am just nervous about it. I am excited but nervous. :D
Any info or advise is welcome!

Thanks!

Welcome nmgurl! Great to have you here.

Yes, having lipo to flanks is a very common combination with a TT, as it helps to give a nice streamlined contour, assuming one "needs" lipo to the hips. (kwim)

I had it myself, and am thrilled I did.

When you are pulled flat and tight in the front, you notice the sides even moreso if they are no longer "in synch" with the front. So having lipo if you need it anywhere in that region can really make a nice finished look.

Thanks for your response! Hearing that others do it makes me feel better. I have 43 days until my tt so I am trying to soak up as much info as I can.
I am still trying to figure out how everyone puts those graph bars and such on their posts. I saw Becky's tt youtube diary and that really helped me to finally make this choice.
How long ago did you have yours?

Hey! Im new too, my surgery is exactly the same TT w/lipo, but about 2 weeks before yours.
I choose the lipo on waist and flanks cause my PS said its the "icing on the cake", and of course icing is my favorite part! Ill have to update and let you know how it all goes :D

Congrats on joining the FlatLands!
I too only had lipo on the flanks (though my PS does liposcuplture on the ab area with his TT too) and besides some extra swelling, which I was able to wear my pre sx jeans early on, completes that hourglass look we all want! PSs are artists and when they look at our abs they want to create the most perfect shape and for the most of us that probably includes some lipo to the flanks. I did not have much bruising, but since sx it is still swelled and everytime I see him he agrees that I am still slightly swollen which actually is quite exciting becuase I can already (and have since 3wks) fit my pre sx jeans so I know my end result will be amazing! Let your PS be your artist for your amazing bod that is to be created!

Keep us posted with before/after pics! We love to see the transformation!

Thank you for that! That just gets me even more excited! I dream about this all the time!
I was scared at first when I first decided to go though with it but as time passes and joining this board it's helped me SO much. You all seem to really support each other. My hubby is so supportive too thank goodness, I couldn't imagine trying to go at it without his support but having some girls to talk to that know and have gone though it or are going to is a huge relief to me! I will post pictures soon. My befores are pretty nasty! :( But that will all change soon! I can't wait! I need to go see your pics! That always gets me excited!

I got it and I'm very glad I did. My "muffintop" was one of the things that bothered me most, just as much as my tummy. I wish they had taken a little more off, but it still looks good.

I think we all feel the same! 11 days till my TT with MR and lipo of the flanks. After three c-sections I am ready to get rid of this nasty pouch that I cannot get rid of for anything. The muffin top being gone will be a added bonus! Im excited but dread the recovery and thinking of me walking in the ps office the day after surgery to get my catheter taken out is horrible! How am I going to walk? lol Oh well, it will all be worth it ladies! Def keep in touch and share stories!

the results are muuuch better when you have a tt along with liposuction because you can give a total new shape to your body. Besides the cost of liposuction is always cheaper when you do it along with a tt. I mean, many people decide to have alone a liposuction of many area (abs, flanks, thighs, back, arms..ect) and they spend until $10,000 for that or a TT without liposuction that can cost around $10,000.
BUT when you have a TT along with a lipo (even with several lipo areas) the cost is around $12,000,, but you have TT + lipo and your body is so different!! Conclusion it's always a best deal to have a TT + lipo when you need both procedures.
I had a mommy makeover done on Sept: TT with full liposuction and BL with implants,, amazing results! I did it south america because I couldn't afford it in the US. I paid $7,000 for my surgery, i went through the medical group MakeoverTravel.. excellent choice, excellent cost, excellent results. :) TT is a procedure that chenges your life.
Procedures done: Tummy Tuck / Breast lift + implants / lipo on abd, flanks, back, arms, inner thighs
Total procedures cost: $7,000 ! at MakeoverTravel clinic in South America
Outcomes: Excellent results
Next surgery: Butt augmentation 2012

My ps had a 'fixed price' system - this allowed for him to do as much or as little lipo as I needed to get the shape, and included MR and extended TT. I also got the choice of 2 different private hospitals (pricing slightly different - chose the cheaper option!). It is amazing how far they can 'reach round' with the lipo equipment - I have very bruised flanks and even bruising on my back from it, yet I wasn't 'flipped over' during the surgery.

(I have just posted some new pics at 10days po, you can see where the lipo was done by the bruises!)
