Hi everyone. I had ftt with muscle repair 4/15/2011. i have been thrilled with the belly part however- my lovely ken never went away. i had lipo on it yesterday and can't wait to see the results. i was so embarrassed in fitted dresses and knit pants/skirts (which i live in)
Anyone else had this?
Anyway...I didn't know what to expect. It was not that painful. I still have the compression bandage over mons and biker pant type spanx on. i can see a little bruising.
i hope you get some replies to your query. i had a FTT/MR/mons lift. I was meant to get mons lipo as thats what i was expecting going in but PS said i didnt need it and just gave it a lift, hence the flat bit across the bottom of my scare. I cant really tell if my kon doll is smaller as that is mostly where i still have some swelling, so i am just taking the wait and see approach.
Well... i removed the pressure bandage this a.m. and showered. NO PUFF!! before the lipo, i had a nice flat tummy, scar is low, then this puffy mons that stuck out.
i didn't really note any swelling. There is minimal bruising. I can't believe how much better it looks. I replaced the pressure bandage and added a folded pad to my undies to add a little pressure from below (don't want droopy labia). sorry if tmi. postop visit in 2 weeks.
please share your thoughts/experience. feeling a little alone in this.
Hello congrats on your new procedure just one word of caution. My nurse told me not to apply extra presure if the pressure is too tight it can cut off the circultion and cause the tissue and skin to die.
The mons area was the one area my ps told me to add pressure to, and many people do. The cg (biker short,type/spanx, etc), don't properly compress that area. Not talked about a lot now, but when I was going through it, it was common to use maxi pads.
It is true that too much compression anywhere is not a good idea, but in the mons...you are probably not getting " too much" by adding some. How long does the doc have you wearing the bandage? You probably don't need more added to that, but just the area under, and then once off the bandage could add the maxi under the bike shorts.
I'd just call the doc tomorrow and ask if you are worried.
Congrats on your one year anniversary ogamom, as well as your revision!
I had a FTT with MR in Oct '11 and am scheduled to have Lipo to mons this Saturday, 6/2. It's just in the office under local and I know I wil have to wear a compression garment for a couple of weeks. Id love to hear how you are doing and the recovery was for you. I go to Hawaii a little over a month after my revision. Oh, and he's repairing a dog ear too. I'll post feedback afterward.
I had my original TT w/ MR, back and flank lipo 4/11. My skin elasticity was so shot that everything drooped and my mons was so puffy. My PS actually had to recut the entire suture line and take out 3 inches of excess skin and then closed me back up nice and tight. He also extended the scar a bit on the sides to get rid of my muffins. This was in last March and I am flat as a board now. I can wear leggings without a shirt covering my pubic area and I love it!
I had Lipo to my mons yesterday and can already tell a difference. The local to numb the area was the worst part and it didn't take long at all. I'm tender and sore today but already 50% better than yesterday. The dog ear repair took 5 mins once it was numb. I go back in 3 weeks for follow up and I'm shopping for spanx today. Yesterday I just wore my CG from my TT.
It's flat down there and I think it will make a big difference in my overall result! Happy so far!
