Any recent experiences with Dr. Robert Rho?

Any recent experiences with Dr. Robert Rho?

Postby principality » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:19 pm

I am considering having a labia and clitoral hood revision with Dr. Robert Rho to restore my labia after a previous bad surgery. I'd like to get some insights on anyone's experience with him as a doctor. I've read some mixed reviews about him (most negative reviews don't reference labia procedures) and have some reservations about him after my initial consultation with him as he came across as cold/robotic and disinterested. The results are ultimately more important to me so I'd like to hear of other's experiences with him specifically related to this type of procedure.

Thank you!

I don't have any experience with him but I can say from the sounds of your post I'd be a bit hesitant. I wouldn't want any surgeon working on my private parts if they seemed cold, robotic and disinterested. it seems to me that mentality could translate into patient care, and even quality of work. I know that is a broad assumption to make, but i do feel that your PS should be interested in YOU... what you want and how you feel about it. This is a very stressful procedure regardless of how well you think you've prepared for it, you will have freak out moments. it's good to have a PS that you feel you can call on and not get brushed off or worry that you're annoying him with your silly questions. They're not silly!

Where are you located? have you located or considered any other PS's in or around your area? If it's possible, it might be worth a bit of travel to get to a good PS whom has a great reputation and builds good rapport with his/her patients.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rho. His results are amazing, and he really makes sure it's done right. If you consider the thousands of surgeries he has done and no negative reviews, that should give you an idea of his talent. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Do not go to this doctor. He is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He is a board certified GYN. Do not let him perform any type of cosmetic procedure on your face or body. I didnt realize until after the fact when I let him inject botox in my face because he said that would make the wrinkles under my eyes go away. Well they havent and when I look at myself in the mirror I can hardly recognize myself. It doesnt make sense how can a GYN have the right or even the ability to perform cosmetic surgery. Everything you say about him is true. He is cold and disinterested. He wouldnt accept any responsibility nor would he give me my money back. The only thing he is concerned with is money. In fact he wanted me to pay him even more money to inject more botox in my face because that would supposedly make it better. He really must think I am an idiot [-X :^o

With Botox it depends on how your state regulates it. Some states even allow dentists to perform Botox injections. In my state only doctors certified in proper injection technique, or certified aestheticians can administer Botox. At the cosmetic surgery center I go to, only the doctors perform Botox injections even though aestheticians work ther as well. If it's not injected into the correct muscle, then it won't do anything.

My doctor offers FREE touch-ups if it's not to my satisfaction by two weeks. The first time it was a little "overcorrected"... my mouth felt immobile and it took a greater effect on one side. Got it touched up... for free... and it was great. The second time I went I told him to go a little lighter on the injected areas and it is perfect. If it doesn't work--- a touch-up SHOULD be free!!

I had laser liposuction done by Dr. Rho in June 2010. The procedure took a couple hours. I went for follow-ups two days later, then two weeks later, and two more weeks after that. I am fully recovered now, and the procedure was totally successful. The targeted areas look even better than I could have imagined, and I am a picky customer :)

The scheduling process was very easy: after an initial visit with Dr. Rho, we scheduled the procedure for a month later. The procedure itself went very well. Dr. Rho was competent and caring, and made sure that everything was eliminated from the targeted areas. At least one additional staff person was there to help and support me as well. The staff is very helpful and professional as well.

The price point was also very good – I did a lot of comparison shopping online and visited four offices before deciding where to go.

I am completely satisfied with the experience, and already recommended Dr. Rho to all my friends.
