How long before one can assess symmetry

How long before one can assess symmetry

Postby Nyx9 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 9:07 pm

Eight days ago I had the wedge method of labiaplasty. It has not stopped bleeding yet. But what is more worrisome is the symmetry. I know there is still some swelling but the two sides look vastly different in size 8 days later. Anyone else had this? I'd say the one side is about 2x to 2.5x larger than the other. Could this all still be swelling after 8 days? There was more work done to the one that looks bigger as it was originally the bigger of the two. So I guess it could plausibly still be more swollen.
Still, I find it difficult to trust that after 8 days one side can look 2.5x bigger but they will heal fairly symmetrical. I certainly hope so. They just look vastly different in size at the moment. getting nervous.
When is a good time frame to assess symmetry for this procedure?

Hi there
I had the wedge 4 days ago and just read your post. So a few more weeks have gone by for you and I wondered how the symmetry is for you now? I know it is still early days for me, but my right lip is looking good already, the swelling has gone down a lot. But my left lip is still swollen and hard and lumpy, looking twice the size of the other and not as well shaped. This lip was only slightly bigger than the other to begin with, it may have had a bit more work but not much. My clitoral hood is swollen and pardon my words but I cant see or feel my clitoris any more! So my question to you, now a few more weeks post op, is how are you looking and feeling now? I am in Australia.
Good luck, Mary.
