Just Had Labiaplasty-UK

I came on here about 3 years ago and found it very helpful in terms of pre-op and post op info.

I finally went through with the surgery in London this week and I am now on day 3... and I am so happy with everything.

I paid for it myself and went with the surgeon who is known as the best in the country for this procedure- so it wasn't cheap but I'm glad I waited until I could have it done by this surgeon.

3 days out and honestly I had absolutely no pain bar the moment I woke up in post-op and there was a little bit of stinging.

Since then it's been plain sailing. I know I'm lucky as I have read many stories about the traumatic experience people go through after.

But this site helped me with crucial tips for post op:

1. Have a peri bottle to spray luke-warm water on your labia when you urinate. I actually used a nasal rinse bottle (bought new).

2. Use a stool softener/laxative as you may be constipated from the anaesthetic (if you have a general anesthetic).

3. Elevate your lower half when resting as it helps reduce swelling.

4. Ice the area through underwear and a cloth to help reduce swelling.

For anyone who is concerned about labia or stitches fusing together- I had this exact worry!

Essentially what happened was my labia were swollen and stuck together. Eventually they did part today. Although the stitch on one labia loosened and got stuck on a slightly sticky/scabby part of the labia on the other side.

Not sure what to do about that. If it does release the stitch will still be loose.

I will post photos in a week or two when the stitch issue is resolved of pre and post op.

Anyway, thanks to this board I finally did it and now I can move on with my life :)

Hi Molly
Would you mind letting me know who did your surgery, and are you happy with it? I'm in the uk and finding hard to get any info on labioplasty and or vaginaplasty. Thanks
