Hi everyone,

Starting this thread as will be getting my labiaplasty done tomorrow! Is anyone else getting one soon?

Quite nervous as am getting it done under general and no-one knows I'm going. Have one night's hospital stay and one night in a hotel for some R&R before heading home.

Will try to do a daily update of events, feel free to ask any questions!

Am having the anterior wedge method.

Get in touch if you are going through/have gone through/are soon to have this procedure!

Well.... it's done! I still can't believe I've done it! Very surreal. The procedure was done around 11am this morning (Thurs 23rd).

Had some bleeding (from stitches and in urine?), some swelling and a little difficulty urinating (thankfully sorted now - apparently due to the anaesthetic) but still at the hospital until I'm ready to leave tomorrow so I'm not too worried. I had expected some swelling but it seems to be in the outer labia which is a surprise! The anterior wedge method does stitch very close to the outer labia though so I guess this could be why.

Despite all the swelling outside, I can see everything looks neat and tucked away. Just hoping nothing goes wrong during recovery to mess up all the good work so going to try and rest in bed as much as possible over the next 10 days (and ice lots and take arnica, vitamin c and zinc).

Hoping the surgeon will drop in tomorrow to have a quick chat and a quick look and reassure me everything's going to plan. Annoyingly the hospital won't give me my antibiotics until I am discharged, would have liked to start them immediately as obviously it is difficult to be 100% clean after going for a pee. Will have a shower tomorrow morning, just didn't want to exacerbate any of the swelling today.

Do get in touch if anyone is in the same/similar boat! Would be great to compare notes!
