DR. PAMELA LOFTUS FOR LABIAPLASTY???????

DR. PAMELA LOFTUS FOR LABIAPLASTY???????

Postby Irishspring » Sat Sep 29, 2007 8:00 pm

I am scheduled with her next week for a labiaplasty and I am TERRIFIED. I'm flying in from out of town and have already paid in full (requirement). I have read good and bad things about her. I haven't told anyone and I'm freaking out. Her nurse/assistant Marry was all about the money and now I'm getting a weird feeling.

i was wondering if you had your surgery yet and how you are feeling. dr Loftus did my surgery yesterday. i agree with you about the money thing and didnt find the office staff to be very nice, more like very pushy. it was all very strange and even now that its over i still find it all strange. couldnt believe she didnt give me any pain meds except tylenol - the pain was unbearable by a half hour after surgery. good thing i had some pain meds at home from a dental procedure or i dont know what i wouldhave done. I think her recovery post op routine is very different than what i've read with others. If you have any questions email me. hope you are doing well and wonder what you thought of her. i hadn't heard anything about her bad or good - wish i had found this site earlier

Very interested in hearing more about the experiences with this Dr.I have been researching labiaplasty Drs for quite some time now and she is one of the ones I am considering. It's good to know that I am not hallucinating that her assistant is not the warmest most welcoming person. The main reason I became interested in this Dr was because I was impressed with her before and after photos but the way I was treated when I called for more information made me want to look elsewhere. The lady I spoke to was very cold, smart allecy, and indifferent. She made me feel like my questions were stupid.I wondered if Dr. Loftus was aware that her secretary may be scaring off possible patients.I am an operator at a Drs office and I know first hand how important it is to make a good impression when someone calls for information.Anyway,I'm interested to know what bad and good things have been said about her.Also,sunshine123-are you happy with your results?Although it is nice to have a good experience all around, what I'm most concerned about is the end result.Let me know guys!

There have been a couple people who have posted positive things about her here. I had a different surgeon...so can't speak from personal experience. Good luck

Brittz, you are right on with your opinion & dr loftus is aware since i did bring it up to her - she in her words called her assistants "to the point". She is also "to the point". They are not warm and fuzzy in that office by any means. but it is the surgeons expertise not the personalities although being a little nicer could certainly help put the person at ease. Too soon to know about the end results but so far so good. I think i'm healing nicely and after the first day of pain, i've been feeling pretty good. if i can help with anything please dont hesitate to ask!

Hello, I had labiaplasty by Dr. Loftus in Apr. I did find out very soon that I didn't like the attitude of the "office worker" but I liked the pics online and Dr. Loftus's background, so I just went for it. Imagine my surprise when I got to the office and heard the EXACT same voice and attitude in my SERGEON!! They were the same person! Creepy to say the least, but I had already paid and traveled and just grinned and beared it. I am very happy with the results. For me, the social aspect wasn't important at all. I was embarrassed about it and just wanted to hurry things along. I do think that if I had a nicer, more empathetic sergeon I'd have much nicer memories and feel more positive about the whole experience, but I am happy it's done and I can just move on now. But I am an emotional person. If you aren't then you can just breeze through the process, ignoring her bad attitude and manners(the surgery only took about 2 hrs. from entering the office to leaving, then the follow-up took 10 min. the next day) then she's a good sergeon to use for her skill in my oppinion.

Good luck to everyone!

Re: DR. PAMELA LOFTUS FOR LABIAPLASTY???????

(I wrote on another message board on this website. Check the other board and what people had to say about this doctor & procedure.)
I had this operation performed by Pamela Loftus in 2008 I think. Here we are in 2014, and it still haunts me enough that I decided to google her name today and see if there is anyone out there like me.

Dr. Loftus would not have a consultation before the surgery. She schedules a time with you on the phone, takes all your cash, and starts butchering you. Like the girls said above, I was shocked to learn that she PRETENDS to be her own receptionist. She makes up a fake name and even puts you on hold while she goes to get the doctor, which is really herself! It's the most bizarre, psychotic thing. She knows what she's doing. Once you're there and you see this disgusting office and what an unethical psychopath she is, it's too late.... You've taken your pre-op medicines, you've purchased everything she told you to (gauze, girdles...), you've mentally prepared yourself, you've arranged a ride home, maybe you've bought airfare, and most of all, you've handed your money over. It's too late. You try to just convince yourself "well, she wouldn't still be practicing if she was all that bad" or "I'm sure it will be fine" or "Anyone who does this for a living is going to be a little kooky, it's fine!"..... The woman should be locked up. It's absolutely unacceptable that she is practicing.

I envy the women who were only in pain for a day or a week. I promise you, it took months of excruciating pain and sensitivity. I had what felt like spasms in my labia, like little twitches, that lasted for about a year. I still get them from time to time. She tells you to sit on rolled up towels for weeks. She NEVER told me I wouldn't be able to go to school or work for a week. I guess if she had a consultation or any manners whatsoever, I would've known that. She's a crook, that's all there is to it.

Don't bother calling her on the phone with questions post-op, or to complain about pain. She literally scolded me! Hung up the phone on me!! Isn't this crazy?

Another terrible thing is that we had a long conversation while I was on the "operating table". I explained to her how I wanted to look afterwards. She insisted on cutting much, much more than I wanted. We actually argued for 20 minutes over how much she would remove. Why on Earth I argued with my surgeon for 20 minutes over the most important physical decision of my life, and then went through with it, I will never know! I was young (20) and feeling incredibly vulnerable at that point. We signed an agreement that she would respect my wishes and cut less, but she did not.

The feeling of going home, peeling back the gauze, and discovering this was the most violated, stomach-dropping feeling of my life. I felt I had been castrated, and the mental anguish I suffered afterwards was just unbearable. A lot of regret and guilt.

I did my research, too. I went to Loftus because my girlfriend did, and my girlfriend was satisfied with her results. So that was my only solace. But boy do I wish I could go back in time.

As you can see, go somewhere else.

********If you are reading this, and would like to join a class action lawsuit against this awful woman, please email!!!***** LoftusVictims@gmail.com

This woman NEEDS to be stopped. Let's get what we rightfully deserve. We are in it together :)
