Vaser Liposuction Abs and Love Handles

Just had Vaser liposuction yesterday on my abs and love handles.

After surgery, I felt fine and while I tried to stay in bed as much possible, however, I felt so good, I was up and about the house moving around. I did have some trouble sleeping last night, however, as my back was hurting. I assumed it was caused by the compression garment, but the nurse at the DR. office said it was because I was starting to feel the surgery as the anesthesia was probably still in my system until about 1am.

I did take a pain pill (percocet)at about 5am to help me sleep. I think it is finally wearing off. I still feel fine, and am moving around the house. My abs feel like I did a hard ab workout, so not horribly painful, just slightly uncomfortable, and my skin itches and tingles like one would with a mild sunburn.

I get to take off my compression garment tomorrow to take my first shower, so I am anxious to see how it all looks.

The Dr. has me wearing a jock strap and has me icing my balls 3 times a day for the first two days to prevent too much swelling.

The doctor told me I would gain about 10 pounds of fluid weight after surgery. I was 160.5 pre surgery and 168.5 after - so I gained 8 pounds. The nurse told me they removed about 2 liters of fat.

I have really liked dealing with my Dr. and his staff as they have been very communicative, which was really important to me as this is my first surgical procedure other then having my wisdom teeth extracted.

I have a massage scheduled for Monday, the doctor says that will help with swelling and proper healing. They recommend a total of 10 massages. 3 a week for the first 2 weeks, and then 2 a week for the next 2 weeks.

I will keep you updated on my healing and results.

Today is Day 4 after surgery, and i had my first massage. The massage felt strange because all the feeling has not returned yet. IT is a lymphatic massage, so it is pretty gentle and short.

On day 2, I was able to shower and remove my compression garments for the first time. I was surprised that there was very little bruising. My Dr. did have me take the arnica montana pellets four, four times a day for a month prior to surgery (which I did not have a month - only about 2 weeks), so that may have helped prevent the bruising.

My only concern was that my penis did turn purple and my balls did swell, which I understand is normal. But it can still be a little unsettling.

I was 160.5 pounds pre surgery, 168.5 after surgery and today I was already 158.5 pounds.

I think I am probably healing faster then normal, everyone is different, but so far I am pleased. Can't wait for all the swelling to go down so I can see the final results.

What kind of massaging are you having done?

I am 6 weeks post op - and my back and love handles have a lot of fibrous tissue build up

My doctor never mentioned massaging -- please send me any info please!!

The massages concentrated on Lymphatic drainage. The Dr. had me do a total of 10 starting 5 days after surgery ( 3 times a week for 2 weeks then 2 times a week for 2 weeks). I did not do all 10, because the massage therapist said I was healing well, and we stopped at 6 massages.

The massage therapist told me that if I get any hardness, I could massage it myself as well in a circular motion, and if I was doing the stomach, to make sure I was going counter clockwise on the belly to prevent constipation. The massage is gentle - not deep tissue.

hey guyindallas - great pics... your swelling (which was minor to begin with) seems to be completely gone. did you find the self-massaging helped any? congrats on the progress.

Thanks. I haven't gotten much hardness - which might be because of the massages and self massage.

But what I am using a lot of the self massaging for is to help wake up the nerves. I still have areas of numbness, and I am hoping that the self massage will help wake those areas up.

looking GREAT

I'm still thrilled with my results, I am now weighing in around 148 pounds from my pre-surgery weight of 160.5. I still have redness at the incision sites, but I think that varies from person to person. My wounds historically take a long time to fade, so I am sure that is the same case here.

Hello, I just hand my lipo procedure yesterday. I had stomache, flanks, and pelvic fat removal. My privates also turned purple and my testicles are swollen. The Dr. also told me to wear a jockstrap but didn't tell me for how long. How long did you wear the jockstrap and how long did the swelling and purple discoloration of your privates last? Thank you for any insight.
