Hi Dr.Harris,
Can you please elaborate on the laser option for pigmented deposits on lips that you talked about in the discolored lip thread? I know lip skin is pretty delicate. Are lasers safe to use on such a sentitive area? Do you do this alot?
I'm asking because I have two tone lips and I'd love to laser off the
dark parts.

Thanks in advance for answering.

Derwin,

I frequently have patients complain of lip discoloration . . .so you are not alone. If there are pigmened deposits resulting in dark patches, laser treatments may be beneficial. I have a couple of patients who have complained of "too much pink" showing, who have benefited from lip reduction surgery.

I hope this helps and good luck,

Dr. Harris
