Hi everyone! I did alot of research on smart- lipo, read hundreds of reviews etc.
Went to 2 different board certified Drs. for consulatations. The one I selected was double the cost, but could perform the surgery 2 weeks sooner so I choose him. My biggest concern was I have a special wedding to attend on Oct 3 and I was concerned about swelling. Both Drs. said swelling would be gone by 2 wks. after surgery. Anyway, I got the surgery yesterday.(9/3) Dr. and nurses said I did great, but the surgery was not painful at all, I took one motrin for inflamation at night, but only sore when I sit. I am taking the arnica, bromlean, drinking lemon water, plan to walk 1 to 2 miles a day starting day 4. Wearing the compression garmet they told me to get 24/7 (except when showering) Drained last night, this afternoon went to day 1 checkup, they said I have minimal bruising. So up to now, guess everything is better then expected. BUT, it is hard to tell if I see an improvement when I took off the garmet to shower this morning(especially since it is my back "saddlebags" area I had done. I dont know if I am swollen because I always feel uncomfortable in the compression garmet, but I will continue to wear it 24/7 for 6 wks as Dr. requires. (except for Oct 3) I am SO scared I am not going to see Real results. During surgery I was concerned he didnt take out enough,He said 500cc for my size and area was more then enough. (I am 47, aprox 107 to 110, just under 5-5 ' ) Anyway, just needed to connect with someone, because I am scared and depressed I am not going to see results. Any advice, hope anyone can give me is greatly appreciated and needed!!
