Weight Loss

Postby armsofurangel » Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:59 am

I read so many posts from people looking to lose weight, and hoping to find a product or plan to assist. At my heaviest I weighed 427 lbs. I currently weigh 178 lbs. I can speak from experience that the ONLY way to lose weight is through proper diet and regular exercise. Calories in and calories out. Weight watchers, nutra system, Jenny Craig, Slim Fast, Surgery etc etc etc will all sell you the "lose weight fast" line and I have been on all of them. But it wasnt until I "understood" losing weight that I actually was able to do it. Losing weight is not about going on a "diet" it's about changing your life and your frame of mind. Its not about making a new year resolution, its about making a new LIFE resolution. If you are not willing to put in the hard work and discipline, then you will not lose the weight. Losing weight is very hard and if you are like I was and have to lose a lot of weight, then you have to accept that it will be a long process. Count your calories, measure you calorie expenditure, fill up on good whole foods, stay away from sugar and salt and drink plenty of fluids. There is no magic pill or plan that will do this for us, WE have to do it. I had weight loss surgery years ago, lost 80 lbs and put on 100lbs. I had a $80k surgery and still couldnt lose the weight, because I wasnt ready and I didnt understand the commitment. I have 30 more lbs to lose to reach my goal and I couldnt be happier. For the first time in over 25 yrs I can look down and see my feet

As someone that has gone through the struggles or trying to lose weight, I can agree with the post 100%. The combination that finally worked for me was a strict diet and high interval training. Every body is different, so don't get discouraged if one thing that worked for another doesn't work for you. Just keep going until you find what works for you.

the only real solid remedy to losing real weight with no BS
do treadmill in the morning on an empty stomach and consume water only
do 30 minutes walking and do the uphill

4-6 weeks @ 6 days training youre looking at 20-30 but
you must adhere to a healthy diet
