So I bought some acid from garden of wisdom, and it was cheap.
I got 2 oz of 70% glycolic and 2 oz of salicylic powder for about five dollars each.
I was weary of getting it at first, but terri said their stuff was real. (Just a side note, tech grade glycolic is brown which = not on your face)
I made about 3oz of 50% glycolic with the 2oz of 70% and used it. Burns like it should, worked a treat.
Also, made me 16oz of 10% w/v salicylic toner for my stubborn pores. Salicylic has a different burn than glycolic. It creeps up and is not prickly, but it is deep. 10% is the magic threshold for salicylic and you can't use a heavy hand, but it eats up keratin like none other.
Be sure to use ethyl alcohol for diluting the salicylic powder.
